Summer School Style Series Day #18
Today's t-shirt dress, brought to you by LOFT, one of my favorite places EVER, revisits yesterday's conversation about proportions. One thing that I struggle with is finding things that fit my height, especially when it comes to skirts, dresses, and shorts. What may have looked conservative on someone else because risque when placed on a taller frame. I realize there are some benefits, but here is one case where my height can work against me in a professional setting.
This t-shirt dress (I bought XS) is so cozy, easy, and cool. However, when worn in a school setting, I opt for the flattest flat sandals ever created in Flatville. Why? To balance the "leggy-ness" that could be detected. Another "trick" I use often is layering a longer duster to cover more leg and to make the eye draw to the longer layer.
Would I wear this with a cute wedge espadrille? Sure! But not to school. I also would wear this dress with a cute scarf headband in a bold pattern that plays off of one of the colors in the dress. Great for a casual BBQ hangout at home with close friends or running summer errands.
How would you bring this dress to life?
