Summer School Style Series Day #20 : "STRUGS2FUNC"
The phrase Jonathan Van Ness in "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" coined-- "Strugs2Func" was SO me today. Translation: I am struggling to function. I am worn out beyond measure. The summer school day is a long one and everyone's motivation is waning, including mine. But, normally I can make that work, however today was a "STRUG".
I had two little boys wake up in the middle of the night after bad dreams, then my insomnia was heightened since my husband was gone and so I went shopping online at 2 a.m. (I'll link my shoes, another pair of cute clogs, I am indeed obsessed!). I woke up late, got the boys "ready" and strugged on to school, where I arrived late. I certainly started the day off on the wrong (but cute) shoe.
Shop my outfit, that at least was put together without a struggle. Thanks for the inspiration, Tara Thueson (from Poppy & Dot). I can't wait to recreate this one with the clogs I just ordered! YAHOOO! TIP FOR STYLING OVERALLS: Wear a semi-ruffled, or ruffled sleeve to offset the "farmer" look. That, and pairing with a bit of a wild card, in this case, a clog, or a animal print to break up the prints. As always, stack those necklaces! Thanks to Made by Mary with Love and Madewell, I am SET!
The top I am wearing is from Poppy and Dot, sold out, I had to pre-order it (similar linked below).
